Vachaspati Mishra (ca. late 15th c.) was a Dharma literary commentator and compiler.
During his professional life, he wrote hundreds of writings,
including digests (nibandha) on a variety of topics, including daily religious
rituals, purification, pilgrimage, death rites (antyeshthi samskara), political
life, judicial procedures, and burial rites.
Mishra would choose information relevant to the topic from a
variety of religious literature, weigh it, and sometimes explain their view on
a theological problem in these digests.
Mishra was well-liked for his knowledge and devotion, and
his writings were a valuable resource for those who followed him.
