Hinduism - What Is Upasana?

Upasana means "service" in Sanskrit.

Religious practice or spiritual discipline as a whole is referred to by this phrase.

Aside from the explicit concept of serving the god (or guru), the term also connotes an intentional emphasis on the performer's part—not so much on the specific tasks at hand, but on the general attitude of care and attention with which they are carried out.
