Hinduism - Where Is Udupi?

Udupi is a town and holy location (tirtha) on the Arabian Sea, some thirty miles north of Mangalore, in the state of Karnataka.

The most prominent temple in Udupi is dedicated to the deity Krishna, but it is best known as the birthplace of Madhva, the founder of the Dvaita Vedanta.
