("three pauses") One of the most well-known
stances in Indian dance and sculpture, in which the body's line has three
distinct breaks or changes in direction.
The body's weight is mostly supported on one foot in this
posture, with the matching knee and shoulder pointing to one side and the hips
pointing in the other way.
