The Nilgiri Hills are a range of hills created by the confluence of the Western and Eastern Ghats, and are situated in the crossroads of three southern Indian states: Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka.
The hills were formerly inhabited by a tribal group known as
the Todas, albeit just a few thousand Todas remain now.
This area is known for its hill stations, such as Ootacamund
and Kodaikanal, which are popular holiday places, honeymoon destinations, and
filmmaking locations.
