Hinduism - Who Are The Teli Among Hindu Castes?

In traditional Indian culture, jatis ("birth") were designed as a collection of endogamous, or intermarried, subgroups.

The group's hereditary occupation, over which each group held a monopoly, was how these jatis were structured (and how their social rank was decided).

The Telis were a Hindu jati whose ancestral vocation was pressing oil seeds to make vegetable oil in old northern Indian culture.
