Suryavarman II (r.1112–1153) was the ruler of the Khmer people in Cambodia during whose reign the huge temple complex at Angkor Wat was built.

Cambodians, the temples of Angkor Wat were devoted to Hindu gods, demonstrating
the immense impact of modern Indian culture.
