Hinduism - What Is Simhakarna?

Simhakarna is a phrase that means "lion's ear".

Kataka hasta is another term for the hand gesture (hasta) in which the fingers are lightly placed against the thumb to form a ring.

The term stems from the fanciful concept that the hand's form resembles that of a lion's ear.

See kataka hasta for further information.
