Sharva is a name that people use to refer to someone who has
a lot (derived from the word shara, which means "arrow") Shiva's
nick-name.
The deity Rudra (later associated with Shiva) is first
described in the Shvetashvatara Upanishad as a god with unfailing arrows as his
main weapon.
Since then, Shiva has been portrayed as an archer, with his
bow Pinaka being one of the few heavenly weapons with a name.
