A syllable (or
collection of syllables) thought to have a close relationship with a
deity—either as a means of getting access to the deity's power or as the
deity's sub tlest form.
They are seed syllables in the sense that they contain the
god in its most basic form, similar to how a seed has the potential for a
plant.
The bijaksharas are the seed syllables.
