In Hindu mythology,
she is the daughter of Vishvakarma, a god's worker and builder.
Sanjna is married to Surya, the Sun, but his bright light is
too much for her to handle.
To assist his daughter acclimate to her husband, Vishvakarma
uses his heavenly instruments to remove enough of the sun's light so Samjna can
stand being around him.
The sun's trimmed-off portions are used to make the Pushpak
Viman, an aerial automobile, as well as Vishnu's discus (chakra), Shiva's
trident, and other heavenly weapons.
