Sadachara.
("excellent
[people's] practice") One of the traditional sources for assessing
religious obligation (dharma) for things not covered in the dharma literature
or in circumstances when the literature contradicted itself.
After the Vedas (the earliest Hindu texts) and the dharma
literature, this was the least authoritative source of dharma.
Sadachara recognizes that life is full of ambiguities and
uncertainties, while also providing a resource for deciding the best course of
action by using the practice of established and upright individuals as an
example.
