Progress Philosophy (“jativada”)-
Progress philosophy asserts that one can
achieve complete freedom from bondage—which is defined in the Indian context as
the end of rein carnation (samsara) and final soul liberation (moksha)—and that
one can also specify the necessary and sufficient conditions that allow human
beings to achieve this freedom.
Progress philosophy, on the whole, emphasizes progressive
spiritual accomplishment, with very little starts leading to the final
objective.
As a result, progress philosophers prefer to emphasize
certain religious routes that will lead to the ultimate goal, as well as the
importance of activities (especially ritual deeds) as crucial aspects of this
journey.
The combined Nyaya Vaisheshika school, the combined
Samkhya-Yoga school, the Purva Mimamsa school, and even the Bhamati and
Vivarana schools of Advaita Vedanta are all advance philosophies in the Hindu
tradition.
