given to the deity Shiva as the ultimate entity, who wields the noose (pasha)
of illusion to ensnare and befuddle unenlightened humans, is Shaiva Siddhanta
(pashu).
The Shaiva Siddhanta school is distinguished by the triad of
pashu, pati, and pasha.
