Narasimhavarman II (r. 700–728) was a Pallava dynasty emperor during the dynasty's most vigorous phase, when it was a bastion of Tamil culture.
Narasimhavarman II, like all the great Pallava rulers, was a
great supporter of the arts.
During his reign, the monu ments at Mahabalipuram in the
state of Tamil Nadu were continuing to be built.
