A minor god who
represents the Himalaya Mountains as a personified form.
Despite the fact that the Himalaya Mountains are one of the
most distinctive characteristics of the Indian subcontinent, the god Himalaya
plays a little role in Indian mythology.
His most prominent position is as the father of the goddess
Parvati, who marries the powerful deity Shiva when she reaches adulthood.
Because of the natural riches that the mountains hold, the
Himalaya is considered as very affluent.
