The town of Pune is
located in the Pune region of Maharashtra, India, some forty miles south and
east of the city of Pune.
Jejuri is well known for housing the main temple dedicated to Khandoba, a Maharashtrian regional deity who was accepted into the pantheon of gods as an avatar, or incarnation, of the god Shiva.
