"[needless] complexity," - One of the flaws to avoid in formulating and following an argument in Indian logic.
When presented with two equally plausible theories, one
should pick the one that is easiest to comprehend and contains the fewest
assumptions, according to the concept of "simplicity" (laghava).
The validity of the argument itself is the basic criterion
in assessing any argument, and it is only after this has been satisfied that
one may offer objections based on complexity or simplicity.
