Himachal Pradesh is a state in northern India. (“Himalayan State”) is a term used to describe a region in the Himalaya Between the states of Jammu and Kashmir and the kingdom of Nepal is a modern Indian state situated in the Himalayan area.
When the previous state of Punjab was partitioned into
Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh in 1966, Himachal Pradesh was formed.
Himachal Pradesh is a mountainous state, with its lower
sections in the Shiwalik Hills and its higher regions in the high Himalayas, as
its name suggests.
The majority of the state's residents live in the long, rich
river valleys that run between mountain ranges, and its hill stations give
welcome reprieve from the blazing heat throughout the summer.
Seven of the nine Shiwalik deities reside in Himachal.
These seven goddesses are all ruling deities of a specific
location, and some of them have grown in prominence in northern Indian
religious life.
In the Himachal Pradesh town of Kulu, all the gods of the
Kulu Valley are brought to Kulu to praise the deity Rama on his triumph over
the demon king Ravana.
