Hinduism - Is Female Feticide And Gender Bias Still Prevalent In India?


This is a word used to describe the selective abortion of female fetuses made possible by the development of accurate prenatal sex determination technologies. 

This practice stems from Hindu culture's desire for sons, which is fueled by economic, social, and religious concerns. 

In 1995, India made selective abortion illegal.
