One of the most ancient cosmological legends.
It initially occurs in the earliest Hindu sacred literature,
the Rg Veda (10.121).
According to this story, the Golden Embryo was the beginning
of the cosmos (Hiranyagarbha).
Prajapati, the creator of all things and ruler of all
beings, sprang from the Golden Embryo.
The universe in this myth, like in most other Hindu
cosmology stories, comes from a single source and is therefore an organic
totality.
