Kalyanamandapam ("marriage hall") is a Tamil word that means "marriage hall."
One of the most prevalent architectural
characteristics of Dravida-style temples in southern India.
On festival days, the kalyanamandapam is a hall where the
major deity's image and that deity's spouse may be ceremonially combined to
signify their married condition.
