Hinduism - Who Was Lord Krishna's Mother?

Krishna's mother according to Hindu legend.

Krishna is the deity Vishnu's eighth avatar (incarnation), and like the other avatars, he comes to earth to restore cosmic equilibrium by defeating the forces of evil that are disrupting it.

Devaki is the cruel king of Mathura's niece, and on the day of her wedding, a celestial voice declares that her eighth child would slay Kamsa.

Kamsa intends to put an end to the prophesy by imprisoning Devaki and her husband, Vasudeva, and murdering each of their children as they are born.

Devaki's seventh kid is mysteriously transferred to Rohini's womb and given the name Balarama.

The sealed gates mysteriously open with the birth of the eighth child, Krishna, and all the guards go into a deep slumber, enabling Vasudeva to spirit the baby kid to his foster parents, Nanda and Yashoda.
