Dadhikra is a holy war horse mentioned in a few songs from the Vedas, India's earliest sacred books.
The Vedas were a set of Aryans' religious songs, and hymns throughout the Vedas clearly demonstrate the significance of horse-drawn chariots as military weaponry.
Given its significance, it's not strange that a divinized horse appears in these hymns, even if it's merely a minor character.
