Pagan Religions - Who Is APOLLO?

The Greek god of the sun, medicine, and prophecy.

He is also Phoebus, the bright. In a sinister sense, Apollo also brought pestilence and destruction.

His insignia are the lyre, the bow, and the laurel.

The principal festival in his honor was celebrated in Athens, in May.

Among the Romans, Apollo became principally the god of oracles and prophecies.
