("eighty-four Vaishnavas' account") Gokulnath, the third teacher of the Pushti Marg, a religious society of Krishna followers (bhakta) established by the philosopher Vallabhacharya (1479–1531), is said to have written this sectarian hagiography.
The text was most likely authored by Hariray, Gokulnath's student, who also published a commentary on the work.
The book tells the stories of eighty-four Vaishnavas who were reportedly connected with the sect's first two teachers, Vallabhacharya and Vitthalnath.
The attempts to cross the seas to Lanka, the demon-king Ravana's kingdom, in pursuit of his kidnapped mistress, Sita.
Chayagrahi grabs him and pulls him down, but he kills her swiftly and resumes his journey.
