Orissa is the contemporary Indian state with its capital city of Bhubaneshvar.
Bhubaneshvar is said to have around 500 temples, the most famous of which is the Lingaraja Temple.
- It is devoted to Shiva as Tribhuvaneshvar ("Lord of the Triple World"), from whom the city derives its name.
