Her worship included Cappadocia, Armenia, Lydia, and Pontus.
- Sacred prostitution was carried out by the temple attendants known as hierodouloi as part of her dedication.
- In Lydia, Anahita was connected to Cybele and Artemis.
- Artemis Mater or Artemis is in this incarnation, known as Anahita, or Persian Artemis.
- Taurobolium, or bull sacrifice, was a component of her faith, and the bull was her sacred animal.
- "The spotless" is how Anahita is translated in archaic tongue.
