Bahudaka (literally, "having a lot of water"). The term given to one of four kinds of Hindu ascetics.
Each of these four kinds represents the ascetic's ostensible means of subsistence, which in reality has been much less significant than organizational membership for austere identity.
- The Bahudaka is a wandering ascetic who begs for food at holy bathing spots.
- The Kutichaka, which has a lesser status than the Bahudaka, and the Hamsa and Paramahamsa, which have a greater rank, are the other three kinds.
