Atikaya is one of the sons of the mighty demon Ravana by his wife Mandodari in the Ramayana, the earlier of the two major Hindu epics.
- Atikaya, like his father, is portrayed as a great devotee (bhakta) of Shiva, who acquires numerous wonderful weapons and abilities as a result of his unwavering devotion.
- In the battle with Rama's army, Atikaya fights courageously and valiantly, but is ultimately slain by Rama's brother Lakshmana.
