Amritanandamayi (born Sudhamani in 1953) is a modern Hindu religious leader and teacher whose followers (bhakta) revere her as a manifestation of the Goddess.
- She was the daughter of a poor fisherman, and she concentrated on religious life from an early age.
- Her teachings emphasize the value of devotion (bhakti), especially to one's spiritual teacher (guru), and her followers credit her with spiritual enlightenment and healing.
- The Mata Amritanandamayi Math, based in Quilon, Kerala, was established to disseminate her teachings both in India and beyond.
