Literally "energy" or "life force" in Chinese, chi is the energizing force that feeds the cosmos, according to Taoist philosophy; the sum of yang and yin.
- Chi is a kind of energy that we inherit from our parents at birth, but it may also be gained, lost, redirected in constructive ways, or misdirected.
- There is no luck, health, or prosperity without enough chi flowing via the right pathways. Ashe, Baraka, Heka, Mana, and Nyama are other names for the same character.
