A practitioner is given three symbols during the second stage of Reiki training, which are empowered during the attunement. Either of the three options may work.
Healing from afar is one of the symbols.
Reiki distance healing is accomplished by obtaining a photograph of the individual to whom the practitioner wishes to give Reiki. The practitioner may also write the person's name on a piece about paper, think of them, or use the distant sign to give Reiki to them no matter where they are. The level of Reiki healing provided by a practitioner does not vary depending on whether the client is nearby or hundreds of miles away. Reiki energy will be directed directly to the client and will be used to heal him or her. Some Reiki practitioners often send Reiki to world leaders to assist them, especially during urgent or crisis situations.
